From The Road for June - July

There was little on our agenda for June and July except to get our record finished and released. Our May tour of the Washington / Baltimore area ended June 3, and we spent the early part of the month mixing, doing photos, mastering and completing the artwork. We did only one public performance in June. It was our first performance at McCabe’s Guitar Shop in Santa Monica as part of a group of performers helping Rod Kennedy, founder of the Kerrville Folk Festival, to celebrate the release of his autobiography, “Music From the Heart”. Readings from his book were punctuated by performances from Katy Moffatt, Amilia Spicer, Joel Rafael Band and us.

In July, we concentrated on pre-release planning for the record, selecting a publicity team, a radio promotion team and a booking agency. We shot up to San Francisco for new pictures.

It’s going to be a busy year. Next month we make short promo trips to Amarillo, TX, Sacramento and Lake Tahoe. A tour is shaping up for late September through the end of the year, starting in the southeast, maybe. And don’t forget the L&N cruise November 20-23, on an uncharred Ecstasy to Nassau in the Bahamas. Hopefully we’ll see you in your town.
